Weekly Roundup: Highlights of Week 32

The Week 32 of 2017, i.e., the past week was so exciting for us as we have seen several devices getting unveiled, some new announcements a few leaks which flourished the News columns. Here are the highlighted headlines of the past week.

Galaxy Note 8 first set of real-life images

The forthcoming flagship phablet Galaxy Note 8 has been leaked with it full glory, shown us the real life pictures. The device looks similar to the previous leaked renders and schematics. There is a dual-camera setup on the rear, Infinity display with larger screen size (counted to around 6.3 inches). The significant S-Pen also showed up in the photographs.

Galaxy S8 Active launched

The rugged version of Samsung Galaxy S, named Galaxy S8 Active was launched earlier last week.The device has nothing special compared t the typical S8 despite the robust body and normal display instead of an infinity display with curved edges. The smartphone has a larger battery of 4000mAh, rugged body made of Military Garde material.The smartphone is currently available to buy in SA from AT&T carrier as they carry it exclusively.

Youtube introduced Speed Controls For Video Playback 

Several days back, Google has rolled out a new update for the Youtube app, which supports playback speed on several devices. It seems to be working only on several devices, especially on flagships. We expect the update to e rolled out to more devices soon.

Sharp Aquos S2 launched

Jaan based display manufacturer Sharp has launched their third bezel-less smartphone in Aquos series. In fact, we remember, the Sharp has become one of the first manufacturers to bring completely bezel-less display design which was later followed by Xiaomi, LG, and Samsung. The device sports a 5.5-inch 4K display, powered by Qualcomm SNapdragon 630 with 4GB and 6GBof RAM options.

LG V30 leaked in video

The LG V30 has been leaked in a  video that has been published by a supposed beta tester of the device. The person showed the device in detail, from physical appearance to the software including Camera testing clips.

Google Pixel 2 Renders leak

The supposed renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 2 have been leaked, showing the complete color variants and look of the smartphone. Apart from the previous typical color options, Google seems to have added few more color options like Quite Black, Very Silver, Blue, White+ RED and Black+ RED.

Lenovo K8 Note launched in India

The Chinese manufacturer Lenovo has launched the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in Vibe series, K8 NOte in India with Stock Android running onboard, The smartphone powered y MediaTek Helio X20 SOC with 3GB/4GB RAM. The primary camera department is powered with dual lenses, having 13MP+5MP resolution while the front facing camera is of 13MP too.

Honor 9 Blue Bird color variant announced

Huawei has unveiled the new color variant of Honor 9, named Blue Bird. The new color can be seen as derived from a variant of CYAN at a glance with some more greenish tint. It resembles more to the color of discontinued cloud-based NextBit Robin smartphone. There are no hardware changes with the smartphone, as it is just a new color option.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 crossed 5M shipping

Chinese brand Xiaomi has announced that the company has attained more than 5 Million units of Redmi Note 4 shipping graph in India. The Redmi series of the company is one of the most popular midrange devices in the country. As the part of the celebrations, the company has created a Mosaic using Rice bran.

  2. What’s your opinion about the Galaxy S8 Active? Does it worth the money? or just like an additional rugged case? Please reply. So that I can decide whether to buy that or not. Thank you In advance.

    • S8 Active is a good device. Unlike a normal rugged case, it gives ultimate safety for the device. The company has removed the infinite display from the S8 active to make it more shock proof. If you are in a condition which requires rugged devices, go for this one. Otherwise, choose the normal version of S8.
