Vivo Nex flagship smartphone with pop-up selfie camera and in-screen fingerprint scanner launched in India

Today in a press event in Delhi, Vivo India announced the official launch of the much awaited Vivo Nex smartphone in India. The Vivo Nex is a premium flagship smartphone from the Chinese technology giant. The Vivo Nex is the real-life version of the pop-out camera concept phone Apex and it really packs with many technological innovations. The device comes with a pop-out selfie camera and that ensures the maximum screen availability by avoiding the notch. Also, this phone features an in-screen fingerprint scanner too. In addition to these, the Nex has a dual engine fast charging technology, which is faster than many of its competitors.

The all-new Vivo Nex smartphone comes with 6.59 inches of multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels. The smartphone has an ultra-full view display by avoiding the notch. An impressive speciality of this smartphone is that it comes with sound from screen technology, which works well for phone calls. The device has an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is further expandable. The device runs on a 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and Adreno 616 GPU.

The Vivo Nex runs on FuntouchOS v4.0 based on Android 8.1.0. The device has a special digital assistant from Vivo named as Jovi assistant. It has a non-removable 4,000mAh battery and it supports dual engine quick charging technology. The device doesn’t have an earpiece for phone calls, instead, they are using a technology which creates sound waves with vibration under the display. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 2G, 3G and 4G Network Type. The smartphone has a 12-megapixel dual camera setup on the rear side and an 8-megapixel pop-out single camera setup on the front. The camera of Vivo NEX also supports DCI-P3 colour gamut. The handset includes the Jovi AI assistant, that boasts of features, including NLU (natural language understanding), ASR (automatic speech recognition), emotion detection, text-to-speech and so on.

The smartphone costs Rs.    in India and will be available in black color. The first sale of the smartphone will commence on July.
