Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime Launched in Amazon

Amazon India was teasing the launch of a new Samsung smartphone. The company listed an upcoming Galaxy smartphone in the On series as Amazon exclusive. The official launch was scheduled for tomorrow. Amazon India has revealed all the specifications of the device today. However, Amazon’s UAE Affiliate retailer site Souq has already made the device available. The upcoming device from the Samsung is Galaxy On7 Prime. As expected, it will be an Amazon exclusive device. The device is available in the UAE for AED729 ($198/€166) which is around Rs. 12,500.

The all new Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. However, it doesn’t feature 18:9 ratio or any such fancy things. It is just a normal full HD display. It runs on a 1.6GHz Octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with a 4GB of RAM. However, the base variant has 3GB of RAM. The higher variant features a 64GB of internal storage and the base one feature a 32GB of internal storage. Both of the variants support microSD card, which can be used to expand the storage space for up to 256GB.

The rear camera is 13 megapixel with f/1.9 aperture, and the front camera is 8 megapixel with similarly bright lens. Both sensors can shoot Full HD video at 30 fps. Now comes the worst part, the device runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow powered operating system out of the box. The button on the front is also a fingerprint scanner which will allow for more secure payments with Samsung Pay Mini in India. It has a 3,300mAh battery, but doesn’t have fast charging or any other add-ons.
