Galaxy S8, S8 Plus users are reporting random screen wake up issues

Samsung launched their flagship models Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in March, 2017. Since then, these models were having random non-severe bugs. After receiving some reports from the users worldwide, the company released quick patches for all these issues. Now, Samsung is receiving some random reports about an issue in the lock screen of the devices. The new bug causes random lock screen wake up problem in the S8 and S8 Plus models.

The bug causes the lock screen to wake up randomly while charging or while at rest. The same trouble has been reported by some Note 8 users as well. A user in the Samsung support community forum says that some basic tricks like hard reset, reboot, safe mode, disabling connectivity etc. didn’t help to fix the issue. So, it is a core level issue and we are expecting a software update for this issue.

“I’m at my wits end here. I don’t have a valid backup to restore from, as the most recent backup was made when this issue was happening, and even if I can get to the previous one that was made on my old s7edge it may be corrupted (stalls at 60%).

This problem started when the system software update was applied to my phone over the weekend.

This thing is waking up every 10seconds! It literally wakes me up at night now because of this behavior. Guess I shouldn’t have thrown out that alarm clock =(”   – Says the user in the forum.
