Android Distribution Updated, 15.8 Percent Devices are on Nougat and No Sign of Oreo

Google has released the data on the latest distribution of Android Versions until September 2017, that claims last year’s Android Nougat is running on 15.8 percent of active devices and the Oreo doesn’t make any marks.

According to the list, the Nougat launched previous year has hit most of the devices this month causing a slight increase in the user percentage of 15.8 percent from 13.5 percent in last month. Among which 12.3 percent of devices run on Android 7.0 Nougat version and rest 1.2 percent of devices is on Android 7.1 Nougat. It was found active on 10 percent of Android devices in June, then reached 10.6 percent in July and 13.5 percent in August this year.

Even, the Oreo was reported rolling out to Pixel and Nexus devices it is not found on the chart and also the Android versions with less than 0.1 percent share on active devices. While the 2016’s Marshmallow makes 32.2 percent and dominates the listing with 0.1 percent declination.

With 0.1 less than last month’s share, Android Gingerbread has 0.6 percent active devices and Ice Cream Sandwich has 0.6 percent active devices. Jelly Bean runs on 6.9 percent active devices, while KitKat has 15.1 percent share along with the Lollipop has a share of 28.8 percent of active devices.
