Alleged OPPO F9 screen protector appears online

Over the past several weeks, the Chinese brand OPPO has been spotted working on some mysterious smartphone with a unique notch at the top of the screen. As per the earlier reports, the device might be the upcoming device in the company’s F-lineups, OPPO F9 or the flagship one – OPPO R17. Earlier today, a supposed screen protector for the smartphone has leaked out, which evidently shows off the design, at least from the front.

The appeared screen protector has a triangular cutting, which is supposed to cover the notch on the smartphone. While we recall, OPPO was one among the brands that implemented the minimalistic notch on Android smartphones. The predecessor model OPPO F7 had a very small notch that included the selfie snapper, speaker and proximity sensor.

Many renders and leaks already revealed the notch on the smartphone, which resembles the Andy Rubin’s Essential PH-1 smartphone. However, this one got a somewhat neat, unique style than the latter.

OPPO F9 Specifications

OPPO F9 smartphone recently appeared itself in a press render leak. The smartphone will come with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, having at least a 19:9 aspect ratio. The waterdrop notch will have only the front-facing camera. The earpiece speaker and other sensors would be crated under the screen. The device will have minimal bezels on the sides and a slightly thicker one at the bottom edge.

OPPO will ship the device with a Mediatek Helio P60 Chipset under the hood, along with 6GB RAM and 3,500mAh battery pack. The fingerprint scanner would still be at the back panel, with the face unlock feature using IR sensors. We also expect the smartphone to hit the market by early-September itself.

Stay tuned!
