Honor Play gets a warm welcome in India, All units sold out in just five minutes of its first sale
Honor India launched their new smartphone in the Indian market yesterday. The newly introduced gaming focused smartphone Honor Play was available for its first sale at Amazon yesterday. However, the smartphone model has received an unexpected response from the Indian tech consumers. The company claims that they could sell off all available units of the device at its first sale in just five minutes. Indeed, it sounds like ‘mission impossible’. But still, we have no tools to verify the authenticity of this claim. If this is true, it is a great achievement for the brand in India.
Speaking on the achievement, P Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group, said, “We are extremely delighted by the overwhelming response for Honor Play which has resulted in the fastest flagship sale ever on Amazon. This is the first-time Indian consumers have been able to buy a real flagship performance smartphone at sub 20k. Honor Play is a powerful performer with our high-end AI Kirin 970 processor with GPU turbo for gaming lovers. The AI camera, battery, quick charge has been warmly welcomed. We are deeply encouraged and will continue to offer exciting phones to honor fans”.
