Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 4 in India with Snapdragon 625

Chinese giant Xiaomi has just launched their latest device Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 India, as the successor to Redmi Note 3 which had gone on crazy sale level in India, sold over 3.6 Million units. The Redmi Note 4 has been introduced by Xiaomi Global Vice President Hugo Barra in the event, the first launch of Snapdragon variant for the Redmi Note 4. The device is shelled inside a premium Aluminium case.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features similar display as that of Redmi Note 3, at 5.5-inch screen size with Full HD resolution. The 2.5D glass on the display panel renders a premium look to the smartphone. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU manufactured by 14nm FinFET process which makes the Chipset more powerful and battery efficient. The Redmi Note 4 has 3 variants in RAM and storage size – 2GB+32GB, 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB, and the Hybrid SD slot supports expansion card up to 128GB.

The Redmi Note 4 smartphone sports a 13MP CMOS sensor on rear camera unit with dual-tone LED flash with 1.12μm pixel size, Phase Detection Auto Focus and 25% larger pixel area on sensor, which can produce better quality images. The front facing camera is 5 Megapixel having aperture f/2.0 and Beauty-enhancement Mode. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 and a Nougat preview is available to hit the Redmi Note 4 as soon as the sale starts with MIUI 8.0.

Xiaomi has increased the battery capacity at a slight, to 4100mAh with high density. So the device can run up to 24rs in screen-on mode. Also, it lasts up to 7hrs while the camera is on. According to the company, the Redmi Note 4 is much improved in thermal management and heats very less. The extra sensors include a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel with child lock, file security features and IR Blaster to control devices. Connectivity side now includes an inbuilt 4G VoLTE also with X9 Modem. As like the latter version of Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi manufactures the Redmi Note 4 smartphone entirely in India, empowers India’s ‘Make in India’ campaign.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 smartphone is exclusive for Flipkart, available in three colors – Dark Grey, Gold and Matte Black. The smartphone will be priced at Rs. 9999 for 2GB+32GB, Rs. 10999 for 3GB+32GB and Rs. 12999 4GB+64GB, from January 23 onwards.
