Xiaomi’s official MIUI forum has confirmed that the company is planning to unveil the MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat before August 16. Along with the date announcement, MIUI moderator has addressed the rumors and fake news about the MIUI 9.
Recently, one guy from the Xiaomi product team has shared some screenshots of an MIUI theme on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. But many of the reporters reported it as the leaked pic of MIUI 9. Today, MIUI forum has officially denied all rumors based on those screenshots.
The statement says: “The image above was shared on MIUI’s Weibo to update users about which Mi devices have updated based on Android N. Some tech sites reported that it’s the list of eligible devices for MIUI 9. It’s fake news as well. Most of them are click baits and you should be aware of it. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify that official announcement will be made only on MIUI Forum.”
