We don’t want to repeat at this point about the last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which was not at all a good one. A lot of things are happening inside the company to make more performance out of all. It is good to say that Samsung is handling the situation very well though. Samsung’s the last released best-selling smartphone ever; the Samsung Galaxy S8 was a huge success.
Now the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is going to emerge. People are still asking questions from everywhere about the Galaxy S8’s performance. So it is going to be very important for their next flagship phablet to be better, even if a small mistake could make them worse and bad news for the company.
As far as we know Samsung is putting a lot of work into the next flagship the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. From the traditions of the company, they are picking up elements from the mainstream flagships and improving every bit of them for the Note series. Like the Galaxy S8, the Note 8 is also leaking from here and there. So let’s see what we have here.
The Galaxy S8 begins its new era of the display. It just didn’t have the curved display but an Infinity Display. And it would be same for the Note 8. In the real life, it is a combination of the tall, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, curved edges, and rounded corners. It is rumored to be a 6.3″ display and we don’t know far about it. Maybe it will be a 4K display of resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels instead.
The visual design of the Galaxy Note 8 comes from the Galaxy S8 itself. So we can expect some similarities. The Note 8 will be looking forward to the rounded edges,, and it will be a larger device than the S8+. So this means this device will also get the same metal-glass finished body with a curved, bezel-less display. There is a side button, only for accessing the Samsung Bixby, Samsung’s digital assistant. Just like the previous Note devices, it should have an S pen, as it is the signature of Note series.
The device will have a 3.5mm headphone jack as like its other competitors. There’s confusion about the fingerprint scanner placement like the S8. Samsung was working on technology to place the scanner right on the screen. But there is not enough time for it.
So there are two ways to fix the scanner, one is to place it on the back as before. The second is to put scanner on the bezel right below the screen. And many reports says the new dual camera is coming to rear also.
From the leaks, we are getting to know that the Note 8 will have a debut Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC, which is assumed to be the latest. This will be an upgrade to the S8’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. So this means we will get far more performance than the S8 because of the chipset’s higher specifications. The rumors about Snapdragon 836 reveal a high end and more advanced chipset with most awaited technologies. Unfortunately all this apply to the US versions of the device. As far as we know the company’s own SoCs, the Exynos will be powering the other regions with CDMA networks, the Exynos 8895 will be the one among them.
We can see a lot of new things on the Galaxy S8, the Samsung Experience or the old Touchwiz home. Surely the Note 8 will be having something similar to the Galaxy S8. However Samsung is making its way to the latest Android 7.1.1 and the new Android 8.0 which is releasing in a couple of weeks. So let’s expect Android 7.1.1 or Android 8.0 with a customized user interface in Note 8.
Then the company’s custom Suite of apps are interesting to see and the other apps which are waiting for updates. The Note 8 should be coming with a lot of new features and would be specially designed for the S Pen.
The Note 8 would be very notable by its dual camera module. Since it is one of Samsung’s high-end device. The rumored camera module is a combination of 12MP sensor with a wide-angle lens and a 13MP sensor with a telephoto lens. The result would be a 3X lossless digital zoom.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY
We’re expecting to see the Galaxy Note 8 soon. This year’s ILA the same expo where the previous entries are also announced here. The expo starts on September 1 onwards. The Note 8’s biggest competitor is the iPhone 8. The guess about the price would be around $900.
