Sony unveils Xperia XZ3 with a curved OLED display, Android 9 Pie

Japanese smartphone brand Sony today unveiled the latest flagship in the company’s Xperia lineup, Sony Xperia XZ3. The device comes with a curved OLED screen, having an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is merely an upgrade from the Xperia XZ2 with even the same [rocessor on board.

Coming to the hardware specifications, the Sony Xperia XZ3 is a successful flagship smartphone in the company’s list. The device comes with aa 6-inch QHD+ OLED HDR display, with the 18:9 aspect ratio including the curved area on the edges. Under the hood, the company provides the device with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset, coupled with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space. The built-in space can be extended using the SD Card through the dedicated slot.

Similar to the predecessor by the Japanese giant, the Xperia XZ3 also comes with a single camera setup on the rear, housing a Sony’s 19MP f/2.0 MotionEye sensor. The device has the support for 960FPS ultra slow motion video capturing. The front facing camera is of 13 Megapixels with an improved performance. The 3,300mAh battery pack supports Qnovo Tech fast charging.

Concerning the network and connectivity features, the smartphone has USB Type-C port at the bottom, the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and other sensors sandwiched between the Gorilla Glass 5 panel both on the front and the rear. The device sports NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 dual-band Wi-Fi. The curved edges support gestures and swipes which we can set for certain triggers.
