Samsung Galaxy Note 8: What do we know so far

We have been hearing about a heap of leaks of the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. By reading all the reports, many of us might have been in a serious confusion thinking how would the device look like or feel like. As you guys are not sure about the final hardware specification that would be going to occupy under the hood of the Galaxy Note 8, we are listing out the major features expected with the device. We have recently gotten a confirmation leak regarding the device specs sheet, so the majority of following data are supposed to be true.

Display

As usual in Note series, the Galaxy Note 8 will also feature a humungous sized display of around 6.3 inches. The dual-curved sAMOLED, 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution display will cover almost the front area as it would be an infinity display of 18.5:9 ratio.

CPU, Storage

Apparently, you can look forward to a couple of devices with  Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (for US only models) and Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC for international models. The device will have a 6GB of RAM paired with the processor, and a 64GB base model inbuilt storage which would be upgraded via SD Slot.

Camera

There is a lot to talk about while we are discussing the camera module. The rear camera department will sport a dual-camera setup with 12MP + 2MP sensors, with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), 3x optical zooming facility which is considerably highest in smartphone cameras. It would probably have an aperture of f/1.7, while its rival LG attains an aperture capacity of f/1.6. The front facing selfie snapper is of 8MP Auto Focus sensor.

Battery

Samsung has reduced the battery size to 3300mAH from larger 3500 mAH, which led to explosion fiascos with Galaxy Note 7 last year.

Design

Analyzing the previous leaks, we can assume that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will sport a design similar to Galaxy S8, plus some older Note series touch-ups. The smartphone measures 162.5 x 74.6 x 8.5, a little thicker than S8. On the front, a half dozen of sensors including a camera is shown clearly, which may refer to NFC, Proximity, Iris Scanner, first flash, etc. The device is almost bezel-less like Galaxy S8. The signature component S-Pen is still alive in Note series, and it must be included with so many new features on toggling compared to preceding ones.

Extras

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be waterproof, following IP68 water resistant technology which can withstand the device up to 30 minutes under water. The smartphone has USB Type-C port, and the headphone jack will remain same. The fingerprint scanner is located near to the rear camera like S8 and S8+.

Pricing

The pricing list has not been revealed, but some suggestions from our resources the device would cost around $1000 in the US which is little expensive.

Availablity & Launch

Samsung has been already confirmed about the official debut of the smartphone by August 23. The device will be made available in only two color variants: Black Deep Sea Blue, and Orchid Grey.

This is it, for now, regarding Samsung Galaxy Note 8. We will inform about the more news about the device. Stay in touch.
