Reliance Digital becomes the offline partner for OnePlus 6T in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, the subsidiary brand of OPPO, OnePlus entered in India back in 2014 as an online-only brand for their “FlagshipKiller” smartphones at affordable price tags. Now, after 4 years when the company is prepping up to release the OnePlus 6T smartphone, OnePlus announced that they will be selling the OnePlus 6T smartphones through the Reliance Digital offline stores.

In effect with the new deal, the Reliance Digital, India’s largest consumer electronics retail chain which has over 1800+ offline stores across the country, will stay as the official offline partner. The smartphone is currently set to sell online exclusively through the Amazon India website. Due to the higher demand for the smartphone, OnePlus 6T will be available offline through the Reliance Digital stores. This could be the first time of the company to release the smartphone offline in a country.

OnePlus 6T will be unveiled on this 29th, in the events to be held in New York and New Delhi. The smartphone is expected to carry the motherboard and hardware as same as in the OnePlus 6 device. Additionally, the company confirms the new device to come with an under-screen fingerprint scanner with an OLED/AMOLED display.

OnePlus 6T Specifications

OnePlus 6T is anticipated to come with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display, with a water drop notch at the top edge of the screen. Under the hood, it will carry a Snapdragon 845 Chipset, 6GB to 8GB of RAM along with the inbuilt storage space up to 256GB. The company might ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack, for the sake of the USB Type-C port.

We need to wait until the month-end to see more details on the OnePlus 6T. Stay tuned!
