Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro launched in India with pop-up camera and 4,000mAh battery

Xiaomi India at a press event in New Delhi launched their newest smartphones in the Redmi series. The all-new Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are official in the country with several premium offerings. The models originally launched in China in May month. The Redmi K20 costs Rs. 21,999 for the base 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs Rs. 23,999. The K20 Pro is priced at Rs. 27,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and its 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option is priced at Rs. 30,999.

The Redmi K20: Specifications, Camera, Battery, Display, etc.

The Redmi K20 comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 91.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. This smartphone comes with the dual-sim capability and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, coupled with a 6GB of RAM. The phone offers a 64GB storage space for the base variant and 128GB storage space for the higher variant. The Redmi K20 has a dual-camera setup, which includes a 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX582 sensor along with an f/1.75 lens. The other sensor is a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens.

Talking about the selfie camera, the Redmi K20 offers a 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera. The connectivity options in this phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This smartphone comes with a 4,000mAh battery with an 18W fast charge support. The K20 runs on Xiaomi’s custom interface MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.

In the case of the Redmi K20 Pro, the smartphone offers a 6.39-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Same as the Redmi K20, this smartphone also runs on the MIUI 10 custom skin based on Android 9 Pie. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with an 8GB of RAM.

The smartphone also offers two storage variants – 128GB and 256GB.  The primary camera module includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens, 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. It has a 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera onboard.

Both of these smartphones come in three distinct color options, namely Carbon Black, Flame Red, and Glacier Blue. The smartphones are set to go on sale at Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home starting 12 pm (noon) IST on July 22. As an offer, the company is providing a premium phone case worth Rs. 999 with the retail package.
