It has been only a few days after OnePlus provided their OxygenOS 4.5.7 update for their flagship device of 2017, OnePlus 5 and Now they are pushing out OxygenOS 4.5.8 update for devices sold worldwide. Similar to the previous update, this update comes with some new feature additions, security patches, optimizations and bug fixes.
The all new OnePlus Slate font is the sexiest addition belong to the latest update, which is nothing but the new font that changes the textual display of its UI.
The new update has reportedly started receiving after the OxygenOS 4.5.7 update was withdrawn for some unknown reason which hasn’t been announced yet by the developer with a similar changelog. The changelog includes the following features with the new OxygenOS 4.5.8 update:
New features
The latest OxygenOS update includes the OnePlus Slate font and the Energy Intelligence Software (EIS) support for 4K video recording. The EIS technology obviously improves the video recording in 4K Quality, which was expected with the device when it was launched. Reportedly, the users were complaining about the EIS feature which was missing.
It also comes with the update to Android security patch level to 1st July 2017. It also includes the improvements to Wi-Fi connectivity issues and the Standby battery has also been enhanced.
Bug Fixes
The latest firmware update also includes some bug fixes which fixes the Rare sound leaks in the earphones speakers, the camera shutter sound bug in silent mode for Indian region is fixed and the random stutters while playing games was fixed according to the changelog.
The battery drain problem faced by the Jio users is also fixed in the latest update. Those who missed the withdrawn update can go for the latest update and use these new features.
With the latest update the OnePlus 5, users can forget the issues faced and enjoy the enhanced 4K video recording.
