Nokia 5 3GB RAM variant launched

HMD Globa has finally launched a 3GB RAM variant of the company’s one of the first midrange smartphones  Nokia 5 in India. The smartphone packs the same specifications o the hardware side, except in case of the upgraded RAM amount.

While we recall, the Nokia 5 was launched back in February this year, with  5.2-inch LCD HD display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. The first variant of the smartphone did offer only 2GB of RAM onboard, along with the 16GB internal storage. The device sports a 13MP primary camera on the rear-facing department, whereas the front facing selfie snapper boasts an 8 Megapixel sensor. The metal-made smartphone has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the physical home button, just below the display.

Nokia 5 on the connectivity side, supports Bluetooth 4.1, FM Radio, 2G/3G/4G, Wi-Fi with a certain bunch of sensors including gyro, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and GPS. The smartphone has 3000mAh of battery but does not support Fast Charging.

Even while the HMD Global has launched the new variant for Nokia 5 with upgraded RAM, the smartphone still shipped with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. However, the company had promised an upgrade to Android Oreo for all of their smartphone launched s far, before the new year. The color variants for the smartphone is still unchanged – Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black, Copper. The smartphone is available to buy in Flipkart at 13,499 INR (approx. $210), from 7th November onwards.
