Immediately after the launch of Meizu 15 and 15 Plus, the company started teasing out the upcoming device in the series, Meizu 16. It is quite odd for a smartphone brand to announce the next device in the same lineup at this hurry. However, the company has something under the sleeves to impress the markets. The anticipated hardware specifications and price have already leaked online. Earler today, another price list leaked, which reveals the supposed final price listing for Meizu 16.
As per the leaked information, the Meizu 16 with model number M1882 comes in two variants. The model with 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB Storage will tag the price CNY 3398, which is roughly translated to USD 523. On the other hand, the upper variant has 8GB RAM, but the same storage space of 128GB ROM. It is to come with a price tag of CNY 3598, which is equivalent to USD 554. The price listing seems quite interesting, as we compare the smartphone with flagship smartphones from other brands.
Meizu 16 Specifications
There has not been any confirmation regarding the hardware specifications it would carry. However, we managed to grab some specs leaked online so far. The device would sport narrow bezels to have a greater screen to body ratio. It might even have the thinner chins on top and bottom, but no confirmation about a possible display notch. We could expect the smartphone to carry Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Chipset under the hood, paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM. It would also sport a dual lens camera setup on the rear.
The top-notch variant, Meizu 16 Plus is said to boast an under screen fingerprint scanner and ceramic body panel. We need to wait till the mid-H2 this year to see any official announcements from the company about the features.
