Lenovo today released its midrange smartphone Lenovo S5 Pro in China at affordable price category. The smartphone comes as the successor to the Lenovo S5 which the company released several months ago. However, the smartphone looks more similar with the Lenovo Z5 which launched back in June this year with a notched display and twilight color on the back glass panel. The new smartphone is no different than the Lenovo Z5 and sports same design, but with a metal unibody design, and hardware specs, to an extent.
Lenovo S5 Pro smartphone has a quad-camera setup and a notch screen on the front panel. The device can be considered a mere upgrade for the Lenovo Z5 and might be an exclusive for China only. Here is the complete hardware specifications, price and other details of Lenovo S5 Pro.

Lenovo S5 Pro smartphone launched in China, featuring a 6.2-inch Full HD+ LCD panel, with a wide notch at the top. The size of the notch area has increased, in contrast with the Lenovo Z5 because of the dural selfie-snapper setup. The bezels around the screen seem very narrow, thus the device is cozy. The hardware side of the smartphone is led by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Chipset, the same processor which they used with the older Lenovo Z5 lately.
The major upgrade of the smartphone is visible in the memory segment. The device comes with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of Internal storage space. A pair of 12MP+20MP sensors covers the main camera department of the smartphone whereas the front facing unit consists of an 8MP+20MP combo. On the security side, the company offers a physical fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear panel, as well as a software-based Face Recognition feature. Lenovo S5 Pro will be shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo topped with ZUI (ZUK’s) 5.0 Operating System. Major connectivity concerns regarding the smartphone extend to dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and other basic sensors.

Lenovo released the S5 Pro smartphone starting at a price tag of CNY 1298 for the base variant (6+64GB) and CNY 1398 for the higher variant with 6GB+128GB storage space. We cannot assure if the company will release the smartphone outside China. However as of now, Lenovo S5 Pro will remain as a China exclusive and yet to be announced by the company later.
