As we all know, the ASUS is currently working on a series of smartphones including a top-tier flagship device which is expected to feature high-end hardware specs on board. As per the previous rumours, ASUS has gotten two flagship level smartphones under their sleeves, Zenfone 5z and ROG Phone. The company is planning to launch fie smartphone sin Zenfone series at MWC 2018, and the reports suggest that there is no powerful smartphone among them. So, the company is obviously planning an independent unveiling f the next couple of flagship smartphones later this year. Now, one of the forthcoming flagship smartphones from the Taiwanese MNC has just got listed in the Geekbench browser. There is no device name mentioned but is clear that it packs the most powerful smartphone powerhouse under the hood.
The Geekbench listing shows the smartphone powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC clocked with eight cores. The mysterious smartphone has 6GB of RAM onboard. ASUS has only a few smartphones with 6GB of RAM on their smartphones lot. The spotted device runs Android 8.0 Oreo Operating SYstem out of the box.
Considering the Geekbench’s Benchmark scores, the smartphone does not even outperform the Samsung Galaxy S9 in the core performance score. On the single score, the device has 2323 scores whereas the multi-core score is 8108 in total. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S9 has 2214 and 8496 scores for Single and Multi-core performance respectively.
The exposed smartphone would be either ASUS ROG Phone or ASUS Zenfone 5z. The ROG Phone is the company’s upcoming Gaming-focused smartphone, which could compete against the Razer Phone. The device is expected to have a vibrant display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 845 and 6GB of RAM onboard. There is no official confirmation about the smartphone so far, though they will announce more later on this MWC. The Zenfone 5z is another flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 845 Chipset, 6GB or 8GB of RAM onboard. The smartphone will be unveiled by mid-2018 only. As the specifications match, we can expect any of the smartphones in the position.
