Asus is rolling out Marshmallow update for ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Selfie

Asus is finally rolling out Marshmallow update for ZenFone Zoom and ZenFone Selfie. The informations about the update are described in the Asus Zentalk forum, though the “change log” is a list of the apps that Asus has deleted from its devices.

Asus ZenFone is said to lose Asus Backup, Google Play Books, Games, and Newsstand, Google+, and Zen Flash. You can still download these apps from Play Store if you wish to. If you wish factory resetting the device you will lose Asus Email, Asus Calendar, Asus Messaging, Asus Browser and Asus Music.

The list for the apps that are being removed from ZenFone Selfie after the update is even longer and the apps included are Mirror, Dr.eye, Omelet etc. just from their names it seems that you won't lose much after the update.

As every device that receives Marshmallow update get some new and important features such as Now On Tap, Doze which helps to improve battery life and granular App permissions which gives you more control over your apps, the Asus ZenFone Zoom and Selfie are also coming with these feature.

You will automatically receive the update but you can also check for the update manually by navigating to the settings of your phone and then to the About phone menu.
