Android Oreo update is now available for the Moto X4 devices in India

Motorola is now releasing the Android Oreo update for the Moto X4 devices in India. If you are using a Moto X4 smartphone in India, you will now see the update notification in your action bar. Along with the Android Oreo build, this update package contains December Android security patches as well. Also, the changelog reads it contains some stability improvement.

We are yet to receive an official update from the Motorola about this update. However, our review unit has received the update as the build number OPW27.2. It is now rolling out to the Indian users as OTA. The update weighs 1.3GB and you need to have a minimum of 50% battery charge left and enough free storage space. To recall, the Moto X4 Android One edition devices received the update last week. Now, this is the time for normal units.

The Moto X4 is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor clocked at 2.2GHz coupled with 3/4GB of RAM, the Adreno 508 GPU and a 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharge support.  The smartphone comes with a dual camera setup at the back – a primary 12MP sensor (f/2.0) paired with a secondary 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle sensor (f/2.2). On the front, there is a 16MP sensor for selfies which has an aperture of f/2.0 and a LED flash.
