Xiaomi releases Android 7.0 Nougat Beta update for the Mi Max devices

Xiaomi’s Mi Max devices are now receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update. Xiaomi has released stable beta builds of the MIUI with Android 7.0 Nougat software version. The update is rolling out now and many users had already received it on their devices. A moderator of MIUI forum has confirmed the availability of the update for the 3GB RAM variants. The update is now available for the 3GB Variants.

However, MIUI beta testing team is restricted from sharing the changelog of the update with media. But, as per a leaked source, the update contains May 2017 security update as well. This is a beta stable build of the Android Nougat operating system in the MIUI custom skin. After several internal beta builds, they will release the official Android Nougat 7.0 update for the public.

Mi Max forum management team said:

A new MIUI 8.5 Beta Global Stable V8.5.1.0.NBCMIED for Mi Max 32GB has just been pushed via OTA. Kindly give your feedback on your user experience.
  • A newly released MIUI 8.5 Beta Stable for Mi Max 32 GB is currently being pushed to random users.
  • The Update will be through OTA and will be with/without Changelog.
  • ROM will be released to the Public after a successful previews of the Beta Stable ROM.
