Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) launched with 5,000mAh battery

At a press event in Vietnam, Samsung has unveiled their new tablet device, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). The new version of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is official now for VND 6,490,000 ( roughly Rs. 18,250). As you know, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a 2015 device. Now, this is the upgraded variant of the device. So, it is named as Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017). As compared to the previous model, it has some notable improvements and changes.

The new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) comes with a 8-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) display. It features a 8-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and flash. It has a 5-megapixel front camera for video calling. So undoubtedly, there is an improvement in the camera part whereas the original version has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It runs on a  1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. It features a 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card for up to 256GB.

The Tab A 8.0 (2017) is a 4G VoLTE device with the support for a Nano-SIM card. The device runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box. The tablet is measured at 212.1×124.1×8.9mm and weighs around 364grams (that’s pretty heavy!).  It features a 5,000mAh battery and it is the reason for this weight.
