Realme sends out media invitations for the official launch of Realme1 smartphone

Realme is a newly announced sub-brand of Oppo in India. The Chinese tech giant Oppo revealed their first sub-brand in the Indian market a few days ago as Realme. Now, the company is sending out the official media invitations for the launch event of their first smartphone in India. According to the invitation, they are preparing for the launch of their new smartphone model named as realme 1. The official launch date has been scheduled for May 15th in New Delhi.

Oppo has teamed up with Amazon to launch the Realme 1 smartphone in India to counter Xiaomi. Realme is a sub-brand of Oppo. The company collaborated with Amazon to counter Xiaomi’s increasing hold on the Indian market. The upcoming sub-brand known as Realme will come with the technology of Oppo smartphones and use Amazon as the distribution partner all over the country. The first phone from the brand, Realme 1, will be launched on May 15 in India. The brand will only focus on the online segment of smartphones taking Xiaomi head-on in the Indian smartphone market. It also challenges the ASUS-Flipkart partnership which was announced last month.

As announced earlier, the company is focusing on budget-oriented smartphone models. So the upcoming realme 1 smartphone would be priced at around Rs. 12,000 in the Indian market. Madhav Seth, CEO of Realme India said: “Realme satisfies the needs of online consumers through unique, exquisite design, leading specs, cutting-edge technology and overall better quality.”
