Realme 2 Pro launches with Snapdragon 660 in India; starts at Rs. 13,990

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme just launched the company’s third smartphone, Realme 2 Pro in India. The Realme 2 Pro is the company’s second smartphone in a row within two consecutive months. The Chinese OEM released Realme 2 last month with entry-level hardware specifications, along with a notch under sub 10k segment. Concerning the hardware perspective, the Realme 2 Pro is one of the best smartphones under 20,000 INR in the country.

Realme 2 Pro, as everyone expected comes with a design pattern which looks similar to the OPPO F9 launched recently. The company almost got ridden of the notch on the top by implementing a waterdrop notch which only holds the front camera sensors. The smartphone is powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 AIE Chipset under the hood. The processor also packs an Adreno 512 GPU for better gaming. Realme becomes one of the first companies to bring the powerful midrange chipset SD660 to the affordable category. The smartphone will be available in three variants – 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and the highest model with 8GB/128GB memory specs.

On the rear side, Realme 2 Pro packs a glass panel with diamond cut textures, similar to the Realme 1 and followed devices. The main camera module pairs a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor along with a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a powerful 16MP selfie camera on the front, lies within the waterdrop notch. The compan7y will ship the devices with Android 8.1 Oreo, topped with ColorOS onboard. Realme 2 Pro is boosted up with 3,500mAh battery pack.

Realme announced a surprisingly affordable price tag for the smartphone’s variants. The base model with 4GB RAM will be available for 13,990 INR while the other two will cost INR 15,990 and INR 17,990 respectively.
