Chinese manufacturer Meizu has just announced their latest mid-range smartphone in China named Meizu M6s. The device comes with a metal framed body, with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side frame panel. This is entirely different from the Sony’s power button mounted fingerprint scanner instead, it acquires additional space on the side to attach the fingerprint scanner alongside the power button and the volume rockers on the opposite frame. The fingerprint scanner is so fast that it could unlock the device in 0.2 seconds.
Meizu M6s smartphone comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ display having an aspect ratio of 18:9, quite a trending one nowadays. The device is powered with Samsung’s Hexa-core Exynos 7872 Chipset which is clocked at 1.8GHz. The device comes in two variants having 32GB and 64GB storage space variations, but both with 3GB RAM only. The smartphone also sports with a 16MP primary camera sensor on the rear panel, coupled with an 8MP camera on the front. The company offers Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s own ecosystem FlymeOS 6.2 on the top.
The 3,000mAh capacity battery supports fast charging with the 18W charger adapter provided within the package. The device is shipped with an AI-engine onboard which helps in optimization and performance tweaks. There are USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack for the sake of convenience. The navigation bar contains only one button which acts as Home, Back, and Recent Apps option button in accordance with the touch and gestures. The smartphone is now available to purchase from China, starting from CNY 999 for 32GB version and CNY 1199 for the 64GB option.
