June security patch for Blackberry Android devices have been started hitting

One of the most securest mobile platforms and manufacturers Blackberry has a bunch of Android running Smartphones. As they were with the Blackberry OS, the company still keeps promising the best security even in their Android devices with frequent Security updates and patches.

Now the company has announced through their Twitter account that they have started rolling out the latest Android patch version from June to their Smartphones. The update is currently live for the device which have been bought from the Company directly only, and the other variants from Carriers and retailers will get the update gradually very soon.

By the latest OTA update, confirmed by the company, the Blackberry will be the few among the first ones which released June Security Patch apart from Google in their Nexus and Pixel devices, and Moto on the Moto Z Play devices. If you have any of the Blackberry Android smartphone including Blackberry Priv, DTEK50, DTEK60, and the latest one Blackberry KeyONE bought from the company, it’s time to check the update notification on your settings panel. To make sure you have latest patch, do check on Settings > About and confirm the Security Patch date is June 5. The update will be brought to you as an OTA update, so wait until you get a notification if you haven’t already. The update will fix a set of vulnerabilities including Qualcomm’s services,  that could make your device safer.
