Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 rolls out to Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro

Chinese smartphone manufacturer giant Huawei has just started rolling out the latest Android Operating System Oreo to their flagship smartphones, Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro launched last years.Both the smartphones are receiving the OS update with the Huawei’s latest ecosystem on top EMUI 8.0 with many customization options and features. Still, Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone Mate 10 and Mate 10 have not yet gotten out of the Beta test.

The new update many features to the last year’s flagship phablet adopted from its successor Mate 10. As we have seen in the Huawei Mate 10 couple of months ago, the Huawei Mate 9 and Mte 9 Pro also have the man Artificial Intelligence powered features with the rolling out of the new batch of updates. The smartphones, from now onwards will feature a Huawei’s own AI personal Assistant with Voice Support, text message translation, floating navigation dock,  smart screen split and Projection which let the device project itself into a PC.

Huawei Mate 9 was launched back in November last year, in case you don’t manage to recall. The smartphone features a 5.9-inch FHD display, powered with HiSilicon Kirin 960 Chipset and four gigs of RAM. The smartphone comes with a dual camera setup on the rear with 12MP+20MP Combo, sporting OIS, 2X Optical Zoom, etc. The device was launched with Android 7.0 onboard, promised the update to Android 8.0.
