OnePlus CEO teases OnePlus 5

Chinese “flagship-killer” manufacturer OnePlus is reportedly working on the next anticipated smartphone to amaze the smartphone world. Company’s last devices OnePlus 3 and 3T were well equipped with the highest specifications ever the smartphone industry had witnessed, with the maximum power hike. Now, the OnePlus fans are eagerly waiting for the company to officially announce the next flagship-killer smartphone which was supposed to be OnePlus 4. But the earliest reports claimed that the OnePlus will probably skip the number 4, as the “4” means unlucky in China. So the next smartphone will be OnePlus 5.

After many rumors and leaks, the Company CEO finally confirms the availability of a flagship device from the company this year. The supposed OnePlus 5 has been today teased by the company CEO Pete Lau through his Weibo account. The teaser image reveals doesn’t much about the OnePlus 5, yet it shows that the company is currently working on a new device. On the image, just some workers operating gears, and applying paints. If I am right, the OnePlus 5 will have some special color variants including Blue and Pink/Rose (see the image device colors :P).

OnePlus CEO teases OnePlus 5 2

If we recall, the OnePlus 5 was rumored to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage space which could be expanded up to 2TB or near. For the first time in OnePlus’ history, the OnePlus 5 will sport a dual-camera setup on the rear and dual-edge QHD AMOLED display. As the CEO itself had already teased the next device, the company might be able to announce the device officially within few weeks and will probably launch the device by June as usual.
