Huawei launched Honor Play Pad 2 in the entry-level tablet segment with two different display sizes and WiFi/LTE connectivity. It’ll be made available to buy at Huawei’s official Vmall outlet from July 1 starting at price of 799 Yuan.
Both the Honor Play Pad 2 variants are also available separately in two connectivity variants of LTE and WiFi variants. The Honor Play Pad 2 with the 8-inch display is priced at 799 Yuan (115 USD)for the Wi-Fi only model, 999 Yuan(145 USD) for the LTE model, both with 2GB RAM/ 32GB storage and CNY 1,299(189 USD) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM LTE model. And the Play Pad 2 with 9.6-inch comes with the price tag of 999 Yuan, 1,299 Yuan, and 1,499 Yuan respectively as specified for 8-inch Play Pad’s.
Huawei Honor Play Pad 2 is powered by the power-efficient Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 chipset, with 1280 x 800 HD resolution and runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It supports expandable internal storage via microSD up to 128GB. It also has a mammoth sized 4800mAh battery.
For photography, Play Pad 2 has fixed with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera with delivers decent pictures. The successor in Honor Tablet lineup, the Honor Play Pad has a 7.95mm thickness and weighs 350g.
The device also comes with special kids mode with its own app store and parental control features.
