Xiaomi Mi 5X launched in China with Snapdragon 625

Xiaomi in China has today announced their latest mid-range smartphone in Mi 5 series, named Mi 5X. The smartphone has an indistinctive design structure of Oppo R11 Plus and OnePlus 5. The curved, edge-faced antenna bands and dual camera setup along with the metal unibody remind us of some of the above-mentioned smartphones.

Xiaomi Mi 5X features a 5.5-inch full HD display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Chipset under the hood. The smartphone has a 4GB of RAM and 6GB of Storage space inbuilt on its board. This can be upgraded up to 128GB via hybrid SD Slot. Interestingly, the Xiaomi Mi 5X has a dual featuring rear camera modules, consists of a 12MP image capturing sensor and another 2MP telephoto zoom lens. Additional tweak includes a dual-tone LED flash on the rear. Also, the front facing selfie snapper is of 5 Megapixels. Xiaomi’s own optimized Eco system MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 will run on the shipping package. The smartphone users will receive an OTA update to MIUI 9 as soon as it is released.

If we look on to the specs, it is undeniable that the Xiaomi has launched the smartphone having almost similar specs of Redmi Note 4. So, this must act as an upgraded version of Redmi Note 4 smartphone. The smartphone sports a USB Type-C port at the bottom juiced up with a 3080AH battery pack. The company officials have not been proclaimed any details regarding the pricing and availability.
