One of the most used and best Custom Recovery that are being used by Extreme Android enthusiasts and Developers – Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) custom recovery for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones have just released via XDA Developers. The new release is only for Galaxy S8 devices which are powered by SNapdragon 835 chipsets only. The other processor variant of the device, Exynos 8895 smartphones have already received the TWRP back in April. Now, it is the turn of Snapdragon variants.
The release is for global devices, but it does not unlock the bootloader. On the other hand, only the bootloader unlockable smartphones will be able to flash it under the OS in order to use it as a custom recovery. Currently, there are ionly several variants of the device launched in numerous markets supports unlockable bootloader like Chinese version and HongKong version which is of the model numbers SM-G9500 and SM-G9550. So, no other devices having no unlocked supporting bootloader will get the recovery. Especially, the American devices are out of the list.
The new TWRP for Galaxy S8 devices are not from the official website, yet developed by recognized developer from XDA-Developers “Jesec”. He has also published the source code on Github. Download and flash the custom Recovery on your S8 or S8+ if you have an eligible one, from the links below.
