Sony’s flagships, Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZ are lacking “Tap to Wake” feature

It was LG on their LG G2 flagship made “tap to wake up” as a standard feature. After that it become an un-abandoned feature in today’s smartphones.

Sony also included this feature in their flagships, but now it’s gone missing. According to user reviews, they have confirmed that the Sony Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZ are lacking Tap to Wake feature. Tapping the screen to wake up the devices from stand by is suddenly missing from Sony’s Most awaited flagships.

It is Sony, made pretty Software builds to suit their customers, and made their smartphone users to forgot custom ROMs. But don’t know what happened to them now. Don’t worry, there is a hope that this is a bug.

The doubting started on Sony from last year, this is not the first. On launch of Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ in US, Sony made disappearance of fingerprint scanners on these devices. There is no official reasoning about this disappearance. However, it was not necessary for the users to stay with finger print security at that time.

As the absence of Tap to Wake Up feature is reportedly a bug, let’s hope a fix on next software update. It will be very weird, if these Sony flagships are absent of hardware to avail this feature, makes users to hate Sony a bit. Will they fix this?
