Samsung Galaxy S8 “Microsoft Edition” coming soon

Just after a day of the official launch of Galaxy S8 and S8+ by Korean giant Samsung, the company had announced their partnership Microsoft to bring the smartphones to market through the Microsoft Stores. It is a very ironical thing to think that Microsoft is going to sell their rival brand runs rival OS – Android.

Things are not in the same way as you have seen so far. Back in CES 2016, Microsoft has declared their renewal of relationship with Samsung, after the settling of a patent case filed against each other in court. This time with Galaxy S8, Microsoft had involved directly in making Galaxy S8 much better. The DeX, which is a Samsung version of Windows continuum was actually developed with the support from the Tech Giant Microsoft.

Now the official declaration from Samsung and Microsoft say that the Microsoft is on their way to take pre-orders and sell the Galaxy S8 and S8+ through their own stores in US. The “Microsoft Edition” doesn’t mean a Windows version, but just the normal device with many Microsoft apps pre-installed. The Apps from Microsoft repository like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, Skype, Cortana and many other Apps. This just doesn’t give them preinstalled apps, but the better compatibility alliance (for example, the Cortana will be much smoother and better in UX).

It is not clear whether the Microsoft will sell the smartphones outside the US Market too. The pricings of Galaxy S8 and S8+ Windows Editions are $749.99 and $849.99 respectively.
