Motorola Moto E (3rd Gen) specs leak

Recently some specification details of two Lenovo devices has been exposed through GFXBench, both were unnamed but having model number tagged. As we know the upcoming Motorola devices from Lenovo will be labelled as Lenovo branding only, these two devices have been marked as Lenovo XT1700 and XT1706 in GFXBench. Luckily we got the first letters as ‘XT’, as we seen in other Moto devices, would be the upcoming Moto E.

The device with model number XT1700 features  5-inch, HD display. It gives MediaTek MT6735P SoC clocked at 1GHz under its hood integrated with Mali-T720 GPU. The device has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. An 8MP camera is mounted on rear panel with 5MP front facing one. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone tagged as XT1706 is also carries the same specs inside.

By comparing with the previous versions of Moto series devices, we could see an upgraded specs from the Moto E (2nd Gen), which had launched earlier 2015. The Moto E 2nd Gen has came with 4.5-inch qHD diplay, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 Soc and 1GB RAM. The camera modules are of 5MP and 0.3MP, rear and front respectively. The second device named XT1706 would be the successor of Moto G 3rd Gen, or may be the same device variant for Moto E itself. Interestingly both devices are LTE Enabled and contains an NFC on-board.

The specs on Moto E (3rd Gen) are enough for an upgrade of a smartphone. But the CPU power is little bit disappointing. MT6735P SoC with clockrate of 1GHz is low-end version among chipsets and Lenovo should have to use any upgraded version from Qualcomm,  like SD410. Remaining specs are impressible as a successive generation of Moto E. But if we take the case of Moto G with same specs, it is clear that it is a powerful successor for Moto G it.

Apart from the GFXBench leaks, Indian Importer/Exporter Zauba has recently listed a Moto device named Moto X3 in their website, which may be hints to the devices XT1700 and XT1706, but it is still unclear now.
