Honor 9 goes official with Kirin 960, 6GB RAM

Most awaited Smartphone from the Chinese OEM giant Huawei, Honor 9 has been announced in China with the most specs similar to the earlier leaks. The device is currently official in China only, and expected to launch in other global markets very soon, especially in US like its predecessor Honor 8.

Honor 9 sports a 5.15 inch Full HD display. The device’s spec sheet seem similar to Honor 8 Pro. The smartphone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC with 6GB RAM onboard. There is also a 4GB RAM variant, providing internal storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The rear camera is same as we reported earlier, with 20MP + 12MP sensors. The 20MP module is defined to capture images, while the 12MP helps to enhance the image with more details as well as Bokeh effect. The secondary camera department on front panel, made to take selfies carry an 8 Megapixel sensor.

The Smartphone is made with Metal-Glass combination like the Honor 8, with the glowy surface on rear. There are curved on both edges of rear panel, and the fingerprint scanner has been moved to front panel – also works for many gestures. The Honor 9 Smartphone is juiced up with 3200mAh battery pack, supports USB Type-C Port and HiFi Music Output through the port itself. Android Nougat running device has EMUI 5.1 Ecosystem on top.

The Smartphone’s pricing details are like the following: RMB 2,299 for 4GB+64GB, 2,699 CNY for 6GB+64GB and 2,999 CNY for 6GB+128GB variant – available in color options of Blue, Black and Gold.
