Google Assistant hits Android M and N devices

Google’s own Artificial Intelligence based Personal Assistant “Google Assistant” has been promised to roll-out to many devices this week. And now, Google has announced the official availability of the Google Assistant on smartphones running Android Marshmallow and Nougat.

The service cannot be downloaded directly from the playstore. The Assistant feature is being rolled out along with the “Google Now” update hitting more smartphones very soon. So your device will get the Assistant when you get the next update for Google Now or Play Services. Google has been limited the availability of Google Assistant for the smartphones having at least 1.5GB of RAM and 720p display.

The Google Assistant at a glance, a better alternative for Apple’s Siri and even performs better than Microsoft’s Cortana. It has more native speaking capacity and can understand human language considerably. Currently, the update will support US English as region and language, and Google will add support to more regions like Canada, Australia and UK.

So, get ready for giving an Artificial Intelligence power to your android device, activate it by the hot word “OK Google”.
