Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus to get TWRP support

Finally, TWRP support is here for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus devices. Team Win Recovery Project support has been added for the new generation Galaxy devices. It is good to see the tremendous interest of developers in the galaxy s8, as this is just a few days after the official release of the devices.

If you don’t know, Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP), is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and backup the current system, which are often unsupported by stock recovery images. So, within a few weeks, you can customize your experience in the Galaxy S8 devices. You can flash new ROMs, mods etc to unleash the full power of the device.

However, this initial release is only for the Exynos running models. TWRP support is still far away for the Snapdragon variants. Model number G950F and G955F/FD/X/N are supported by the TWRP.
