Huawei is one among the top Smartphone OEMs across the globe, but they couldn’t achieve notable success in US market until they launched their latest device from subsidiary unit Honor, the Honor 8. The Chinese giant had made a great success in completing their target of 1.5 million units selling U.S market within a short period. Now Huawei had realized the market possibility of pocket-friendly killer Flagship device in the smartphone markets,including Asian countries. Thus
they decided to launch the device in the Indian market, and now it becomes official in India. The major marketing feature of the device is its dual lens rear camera units, with great shot capabilities and wider possibilities than a normal smartphone camera unit does.
Concerning the specs sheet, the Huawei Honor 8 features a 5.2 inch 1080 x 1920 px display with ppi pixel density. The device is powered by Huawei’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC, which is capable of performing as higher as the other flagship powering Chipsets, clocked at GHz. It boasts 4 gigs of RMA , coupled with 32/64GB Storage space, which is expandable up to 256GB via dedicated SD Slot. The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with Huawei’s Emotion UI version 4.1 on the top layer.
Coming to the camera units, we could meet the dual camera units accompanied with Sony IMX286 12MP sensors. But the camera departments are not co-engineered by Leica unlike the P9, but it produces images almost similar quality with its same pixel size of 1.25µm. One is dedicated to image capturing while the other processes the images, including Hybrid Autofocus, Bokeh effect, etc.The 3000mAh battery can be juiced up via USB Type-C port, but the 3.5mm jack still there with Active Noice cancellation. There is a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear panel.
Along with the Honor 8, Huawei also launched a latter variant named Honor 8 Smart, with the same screen size of 5.2-inches, having Kirin 650 SoC under the hood paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage. It sports a 13 MP rear camera and 8MP front camera, and having the battery and OS as same as the Honor 8.
Huawei Honor 8 and Honor 8 Smart will be available through Flipkart and Amazon (.in) exclusively, and via offline shops, of color options Pearl White, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue and Gold priced at 29,999 INR and 19,999 INR for Honor 8 Smart in black, white and gold color options.
