HMD Global’s Nokia 6 smartphone will make its debut in China early this year

HMD Global, a Finnish company which recently bought all rights to use brand-name ‘Nokia’ on their smartphones have recently announced their first smartphone under Nokia branding. The new Android smartphone from Nokia is named as Nokia 6 and some of the specs are almost similar to that of leaked ones exposed earlier.

From the press release of HMD Global, the company is planning to launch their first device as revamped Nokia in China by earlier this year – 2017. The company aims in an innovational way of designing and build quality. The new Nokia will be trying to remain the good opinion about build quality left behind by older Nokia feature phones. Each Nokia 6 devices will be crafted from Aluminium grade 6000 material and will be polished for at least 5 times and takes 10 hours to complete the manufacturing process of a single unit. Yes, Nokia brings back the superior build quality again.

The Nokia 6 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC under its hood, paired up wit 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage space. The device sports a 16 MegaPixel of rear camera and an 8MP of front facing camera, having anĀ aperture of f/2.0 and an incredible camera App. The Android Nougat running device has a dual Amplifier to get a louder and clear voice output, with Dolby Atmos enhancements.

According to HMD Global, the reason why they launch first Nokia device is China initially is just to understand the global smartphone users’ need and their response to a better build reborn company’s smartphone. Also, there are over 552 Million users only in China who care about the build quality and design. So the Nokia, lead by HMD Global will be launching Nokia 6 in China for 1699 CNY, which roughly translates to $245.
