Android Wear 2.0 to launch on February 9, says Evan Blass

The new version of Google’s wearable OS Android Wear 2.0 has been announced back in I/O Conference 2016. Followingly, they had also rolled out Developer Preview for Android Wear 2.0 sequentially for developers. Now the leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) has just tweeted about the official date for rolling out Android Wear 2.0.

According to Evan Blass, the Android Wear 2.0 will arrive on February 9 as official. Also, some Android Wear developers have received mail from google last week regarding the official launching of Android Wear 2.0 on February, but no date was confirmed. But the Evan Blass says to save the date for Android Wear 2.0 launch, most probably the accurate date.

Also, a list of Smartwatches have been hinted as the only Smartwatches which will get Android Wear 2.0 updates as follows:

Moto 360 2n Gen, Moto 360 Sport, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, LG Watch Urbane, LG G Watch R, Polar M6000, Casio Smart Outdoor watch, Nixon Mission, Tag Heuer Connected and Fossil Q.

Th new upgradation of Android Wear to version 2.0 will bring more new features including official Google Play Store inbuilt for the first time. So the users can install Wearable supported apps from Play Store directly onto their smartwatches without worrying or looking for sideloading. The Android Wear 2.0 will also integrate the Android Pay via NFC and AI-powered Google Assistant. The official build was expected to launch back in the end of 2016, but google has postponed it to February due to some issues faced on developer preview builds.
