Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones wee launched with Android 7.1 onboard, and some Nexus devices too received the same OS as OTA update. Now the Canadian Cellular carrier has been announced that the next version for Android Nougat is coming to the Pixel, Pixel XL and Nexus 6P smartphones very soon with version number 7.1.1.
From the Rogers listing, the update will be made available only for these three smartphones and the rolling out will start from December 5 in Canada for Rogers carried devices. The update contains Bug fixes and Security patches mainly, but there could be some improvement in UI and further additions.
Rogers also listed a few other smartphones which are getting updated to the Nougat very soon including HTC One M9 and LG G5. There is no information about the Android Nougat version 7.1.1 to get updated on other carrier variants or International models. As the Canadian carrier already got the dates for rolling out, it will be coming out to the international level very soon.
