The next flagship smartphone from OnePlus was expected to be named as OnePlus 4. But the company CEO recently claimed that the next one would be OnePlus 5 through a teaser image teased “HELLO 5”. The reason behind the unusual nomenclature is because of the pronunciation of “four” in Chinese. It sounds similar to “DEATH” or “UNLUCKY” in Chinese.

As they have done with OnePlus 3, the company will probably add a humongous amount of RAM in their next smartphone too. The OnePlus 5 will be the first industrially made smartphone to feature 8GB RAM onboard.
